The Ministry of Narcotics Control in Pakistan is now accepting applications from all citizens of the country for the upcoming positions available. The objective of this government department is to coordinate the different organizations to ensure that the illicit production, trafficking and use of narcotics is addressed. This Ministry is collaborating with other agencies of the government, law enforcement authorities, international organizations, and non-governmental bodies to formulate strategies and to further execute them for curbing this illicit activity.

The Ministry of Narcotics Control oversees the production, import, export, and distribution of restricted substances; endeavours to hinder drug abuse and to cure drug addicts; and institutes proceedings against those implicated in illicit drug dealings. To help educate the public about the risks of substance misuse and the necessity of drug-free neighbourhoods, the ministry also endeavours to increase public awareness.

To carry out its purpose, the Ministry of Narcotics Control is structured into several divisions and departments, such as the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), the National Centre for Drug Rehabilitation, and the Drug Control Secretariat. The ANF investigates and initiates criminal proceedings related to drug activity, the National Centre for Drug Rehabilitation provides treatment and rehabilitation to drug addicts, and the Drug Control Secretariat handles the coordination and direction of the ministry’s activities.
